MEET THE DREAM FABRICATORS
JERRY JACOB, ITO ART FASHION
Designer Jerry Jacob has been designing Avant-garde fashion since the 1980s. His latest design brand Ito was revealed at the International Tokyo Fashion Week in 2018.
Ito’s mission is to design and create fashion as art, going against the grain of conventional mainstream fashion worldwide. Designer Jerry Jacob skillfully balances dramatic compositions, creating provocative forms that incorporate elements from Japanese street fashion and diverse movements found within the art and music scenes. Many of his designs include rare fabrics specially sourced from Japan.
Supporting slow fashion, none of the designs are mass produced and many are one-of-a-kind or limited runs. Each piece of clothing is designed, cut, and constructed in Downtown Los Angeles.
Ito also collaborates on limited edition designs with artists from around the world who share the passion for the avant-garde.
Ito has been featured at the San Francisco Asian Art Museum.
Ito is inspired by the works of designers such as Yohji Yamamoto, Comme des Garçons and Vivienne Westwood.
